The Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) has been adopted by the Council on 12 April 2024. It will enter into force 20 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
The new EU law aims to accelerate the reduction of energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from the EU building sector.
